The Sweet Aroma of Time Off

Do you ever have those weeks that just never seem to end?  Each day you wake up thinking it's one day closer to the weekend only to discover that you've got yet another day to face?  After being sick last week, this week has lasted longer than a Friends marathon, and boy am I glad it's over!

I'm so thankful that I get to take next week off to spend some time with my family and visiting with friends who I rarely get to see except at Christmas time.  I'm so blessed to have plenty of paid time off and actually get to use it!

A couple of friends asked me if I had any plans this weekend - to which I replied "To stay in bed as long as humanly possible!"  Somehow I don't believe they think I'm actually serious :)  But, after this crazy busy work week (and since I'll be sleeping in a bed that is not my own for the entirety of next week), I fully intend on doing just that!  I have the most comfortable bed so I will be taking full advantage of it this weekend before heading home for Christmas.

A random "happy" find this evening:
Streaming Netflix has a series of 3 episodes called Fireplace for Your Home.
Episode 1:  Crackling Yule Log Fireplace
Episode 2:  Crackling Fireplace
Episode 3:  Crackling Fireplace with Music

Let me tell you, this is my new favorite thing to see on my TV!  Having always lived in houses that had a fireplace, the soothing sound of the crackling fire lull me to sleep like almost nothing else...it's pure peace :) If you've got Netflix, you should definitely check it out.

I bid you goodnight and Merry Christmas from my little corner of the web and may God bless you richly!
