Time to clean out the fridge

Sometimes I get the best on-the-fly ideas when I'm either talking with a friend or commenting on something they've posted...and this on-the-fly moment is courtesy of just such an occasion :) This is a comment on a friend's blog...for your reading pleasure :p

I've come to realize that our lives are like a refrigerator: if we leave things in there for too long, they begin to rot, produce a foul smelling odor & usually make us not want to even go near the fridge. While cleaning out the fridge is not appealing, is quite stinky & produces a large trash bag of straight-up yuck, it is most necessary for the health of all who come in contact with said fridge to go through the cleaning process.

If the fridge represents our heart & soul, we owe it to ourselves & all those we love to go through the stinky & unpleasant process of cleaning out the yuck & throwing it away so we have room for all of the wonderful things that are yet to come :)

I feel I want to expound on this idea, but can't quite get the right words so I'll keep meditating on this thought & hopefully I can add what I come up with :)
